Milano Sublime

The collaboration with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano is a demonstration of the company’s sensitivity towards materials and historical, architectural, and craftsmanship tradition. The marble effect retains all the character linked to liturgical spaces and to the Fabbrica itself. The project also boasts a tactile quality that enhances the perceptive experience of the material, helping to bring out the authentic dimension of stone. This attention to cultural heritage, combined with the faithful reproduction of the material, makes the project especially deserving of recognition. With this motivation, the jury of the 11th edition of the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award, promoted by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, selected Milano Sublime as Best Ceramic Product at Cersaie 2025.

Coem takes a close look at Candoglia marble and transposes its identity onto porcelain stoneware surfaces. With a faithful reproduction of the colours and respect for the material, Milano Sublime is an act of conscious interpretation: two shades, Puro and Lume, embody the nobility of the original stone, reinterpreted, selected and now revealed to contemporary architecture.

CE
The CE mark ensures that the product meets the required safety standards. The new Regulation No. 305/2001 on Construction Products, which came into effect on 1 July 2013, introduced the Declaration of Performance (DOP). All Coem tiles comply with the CE requirements.
EPD
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a voluntary document that communicates relevant information about the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle. It is based on the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology, which is an objective system for measuring and quantifying the energy and environmental loads, as well as potential impacts associated with a product over its entire life cycle, from raw material acquisition to end of life (“from Cradle to Grave”).
ISO 14001 - EMAS
ISO 14001 is a voluntary standard that enables a company to monitor the environmental aspects applicable to its processes, from the design and development of products and continuing through every stage of the manufacturing process, ensuring regulatory compliance and environmental protection. One of the most important selection criteria for environmental processes is the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) certification. It is a voluntary tool developed by the European Community with the primary goal of promoting sustainable economic development by emphasising the roles and responsibilities of companies, not only in monitoring the impacts of their activities, but in setting concrete improvement goals, which are published annually in the environmental declaration.
ISO 17889-1
“Ceramic tiling systems –Sustainability for ceramic tiles and installation materials-Part 1: Specifications and vocabulary for ceramic tiles”. This standard consists of 38 requirements and defines a system for evaluating the sustainability of ceramic tiles throughout their life cycle by using qualitative and quantitative indicators to measure the environmental, economic and social impact of the product design, production, installation and use. All Coem products meet the ISO 17889-1 standard on the sustainability of ceramic tiles and have been verified by the external certification body, Certiquality.
ISO 45001
The ISO 45001 certification is a voluntary standard that enables a company to monitor and control the health and safety aspects of workers throughout all of its processes, ensuring compliance with the standard. Coem has obtained UNI ISO 45001:2023 certification for all of its factories, as it considers the systematic management of occupational health and safety for all individuals on the company’s premises to be of the utmost importance.
ISO 9001
The ISO 9001 certification is a voluntary standard that enables a company to monitor the quality of all its production processes, from the design and development of products to their manufacturing, with the aim of ensuring the quality of the products and services it offers. The company strives for continuous improvement and increased customer satisfaction.
LEED - DT55
LEED® is a voluntary certification programme that can be applied to any building (commercial or residential) and covers the entire life cycle of the building, from design to construction. LEED® promotes a sustainability-oriented approach by recognising the performance of buildings in key areas such as energy and water savings, reduction of CO2 emissions, improvement of ecological quality of interiors, materials and resources used, design and site selection. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the system is based on awarding ‘credits’ for each requirement. The sum of the credits determines the four certification levels: basic, gold, silver, and platinum. LEED® certification is rapidly becoming the new global standard for eco-friendly buildings (it is now applied in 40 different countries). Coem is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a US organisation that implements and governs the construction of sustainable buildings through LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
QB-UPEC
The QB UPEC seal is a French quality certificate obtained by some Coem collections based on tests required by European Standard EN14411 and CSTB Technical Cahiers. Each item is assigned a classification based on its suitability for installation in the various target environments.

Just as nature is beautifully imperfect, so too are our finishes. Each material is one-of-a-kind, with subtle variations in veins, natural cracks, stains, and color tones.
These natural characteristics are not flaws but a reflection of the rarity and individuality of each piece. Embrace the inherent uniqueness of our finishes—because true luxury lies in the exceptional, not the uniform.
