The Dolly Switch Collection redefines the everyday through thoughtful design—a square plate available in nine distinctive finishes, including seven refined metal options. The painted version offers a practical and versatile solution, seamlessly blending into any space in your preferred colour, while the Invisible Lightswitch® has become synonymous with Forbes & Lomax.

Inspired by the iconic glass switches of the 1930s, the Invisible Lightswitch® reimagines tradition through innovation. Crafted from recycled Perspex, its ultra-thin, screwless design sits flush within the wall—almost disappearing—while offering complete creative freedom. Whether merging with wallpaper or matching painted surfaces, it becomes an integral part of the architecture.

The transparent acrylic plates are secured without the use of fixing screws. The plate sits flush to the wall and is supplied with Brass, Brushed Brass, Nickel Silver, Stainless Steel or Antique Bronze switches or dimmers. Each acrylic plate comes with a primed aluminium underplate which can be either painted or used as a template where wallpaper is used.

Dolly switches can be mixed with Button Dimmer Controllers and Rotary Dimmers on the same plate.

  • Used between two 2-way switches
  • Allows control from 3 or more locations

  • A two-gang plate where:
    • one switch is 2-way capable
    • the other is 1-way (simple on/off)

  • A switch that disconnects both live and neutral wires
  • Used for higher safety (e.g. appliances, bathrooms)
